Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
The short version
We sell your information. That is how this website makes money.
When you tell us your address, the price you want to pay and how to reach you, we sell that information to roofing contractors and marketing companies. They will call you, text you and email you — usually within minutes, and sometimes more than one company will contact you.
We are not a roofing company. We do not fix roofs, we do not inspect roofs, and we cannot promise anyone will do your roof for the price you name.
You can tell us to stop and delete your information at any time: use this form or email privacy@namearoofprice.com.
1. Who we are
NAMEAROOFPRICE.COM is an Ohio trade name doing business as Name a Roof Price. Our mailing address is [STREET ADDRESS], Cincinnati, OH [ZIP]. You can reach us at privacy@namearoofprice.com.
This policy covers namearoofprice.com and any other website or form we operate that links to it.
We are not a roofing contractor. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government agency, insurance company or roofing manufacturer.
2. What we collect
You give us
- Your name
- The address of the property that needs a roof
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The price you say you want to pay
- Basic facts about the house — approximate size, number of stories, roof pitch, when you want the work done
- Anything else you type into our forms
We collect automatically when you visit
- Your IP address and the general area it points to — city or region. We do not collect GPS coordinates.
- Your browser and device type
- The pages you look at and how long you stay
- The website or ad that sent you here
- Cookie and similar identifiers
We record your consent
When you submit a form, we save a record of what you saw and clicked, the date and time, and your IP address. We do this so we can prove you agreed to be contacted, and because federal telemarketing rules require us to keep it.
What we do not want
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver's license number, bank or card numbers, income, or any health information. Please do not send these to us. We also do not buy information about you from other companies.
3. We sell your information. Here is exactly how.
Selling your information is our business. We do not charge you anything. Roofing contractors and marketing companies pay us for your information. That payment is how we make money.
What we sell: your name, the property address, your phone number, your email address, the price you told us you want to pay, the facts you gave us about the house, and any notes you added.
Who we sell it to: roofing contractors in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, and marketing companies and lead buyers, who may sell or pass your information on to roofing contractors and other home-improvement companies. The current list is here, and it is dated and archived every time it changes.
How many companies get it: up to 3. Your information may be sold to more than one company at the same time, which means you may get calls, texts and emails from several different companies.
What happens next: the companies that buy your information will contact you by phone, text message and email. They may use automatic dialing systems and prerecorded or artificial voices. This usually starts within minutes of when you submit the form.
What we do not do:
- We do not sell your information to anyone outside the United States.
- We do not knowingly sell information about anyone under 18.
- We do not sell your information to a company we know is controlled by a foreign adversary government.
After we sell it, we do not control it. Once a company buys your information, that company decides what it does with it. You will need to contact that company directly to ask it to stop contacting you or to delete your information — we will give you its contact details if you ask. If you tell us to stop, we will stop selling your information going forward and we will notify the companies we already sold it to that you asked to opt out, but we cannot force them to delete it.
4. Why we collect it
- To sell it to roofing contractors and marketing companies — our main business
- To contact you about your request
- To keep a record that you agreed to be contacted
- To prevent fraud and fake form submissions
- To see which ads and pages work, so we can improve the website
- To follow the law and respond to legal requests
We use it for these reasons only. If we ever want to use it for something new and different, we will update this policy and tell you first.
5. Your choices and rights
You can tell us to stop selling your information. Use any of these:
- Web form: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — fastest
- Email: privacy@namearoofprice.com
- Mail: [STREET ADDRESS], Cincinnati, OH [ZIP]
You can also ask us to: tell you what we have about you and who we sold it to; correct anything that is wrong; delete what we have; or send you a copy of your information in a file you can use.
We will not treat you worse for using any of these rights. We will not charge you and we will not give you a worse service.
How fast we respond: we will confirm we got your request within 10 days and answer it within 45 days. If we need more time we will tell you why and take up to 45 more days.
We may need to check who you are before we act, especially for deletion. We will ask you to confirm information you already gave us. We will not ask for a new ID document unless we have to. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you, and we may contact you to confirm.
Browser privacy signals: if your browser or an add-on sends us a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to stop selling and sharing your information for that browser. You do not need to do anything else.
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law — including California, Kentucky, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, Indiana and others — you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal if we say no. To appeal, email privacy@namearoofprice.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will answer within 45 days, and if we deny your appeal we will tell you how to complain to your state Attorney General.
6. How long we keep things
| What | How long | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, address, phone, email and price request | 24 months from submission | To serve your request and answer questions about it |
| Your consent record — what you saw and clicked, date, time, IP | 5 years | Federal telemarketing law requires it, and we need it to prove you agreed |
| Your do-not-call or do-not-sell request | Permanently | So we never contact or sell you again — deleting it would defeat the purpose |
| Website analytics and cookie data | 14 months | To improve the website |
| Records needed for taxes, accounting or a legal dispute | As long as the law requires | Legal obligation |
When a retention period ends we delete the information or make it permanently anonymous.
One important note: if you ask us to delete your information, we will still keep a minimum record of your request — usually just your phone number and email on a do-not-contact list — so that we can honor it. We do not sell that record and we do not use it for anything else.
7. Children
This website is for adults who own or manage property. It is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell information about anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you think your child gave us information, email privacy@namearoofprice.com and we will delete it right away.
8. How we protect your information
We use reasonable security measures, including encryption when your information travels over the internet, access controls and regular reviews. Our security program is modeled on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
No system is perfectly safe. We cannot promise your information will never be accessed by someone who should not have it. If a breach happens that affects you, we will notify you as Ohio law requires, within 45 days of finding out.
9. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar tools, including from Google, to see how people find and use this website and to measure advertising.
Some of this counts as "selling" or "sharing" your information under California law, even though no money changes hands. If you opt out using the link in the footer, or if your browser sends a GPC signal, we will turn these off for you.
10. Other things you should know
Where our information comes from: you, your device and browser, and the advertising platforms that send you here.
Service providers. Separately from the companies that buy your information, we use vendors who handle it on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes: website hosting, email delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, and our lawyers and accountants.
Legal disclosures. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order or law enforcement request, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Business transfers. If this business is sold, merged or transferred, your information may go with it. We will note it here if that happens.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a change that materially affects how we sell your information, we will post a clear notice on this website at least 30 days before it takes effect. We review this policy at least once every 12 months.
