Terms of Use
Last updated: August 22, 2026
The short version
We collect roofing requests from homeowners and sell them to roofing contractors and marketing companies. We are not a roofing contractor. The price you name is a request — nobody has to accept it, and we do not promise anyone will. Any contract you sign is between you and the contractor, not us.
1. Agreeing to these terms
You agree to these Terms when you check the consent box and submit a form on this website. Please read them before you do. If you do not agree, do not submit a form — you are still welcome to read everything else here.
You must be at least 18 years old and the owner of the property, or authorized by the owner, to submit a request.
2. What this website does — and what it does not do
Name a Roof Price is a lead-referral service. We collect information from homeowners who want a roof, and we sell that information to roofing contractors and marketing companies. That is all we do. Specifically:
- We are not a roofing contractor. We do not hold a contractor license or registration in any state or city.
- We do not inspect, repair, replace or work on roofs. We never come to your property.
- We do not employ, supervise, control, direct or manage any contractor.
- We do not screen, vet, license-check, background-check, insurance-verify or endorse any contractor, unless we say so specifically and in writing on this website.
- We are not your agent, and no contractor is our agent. Any contract you sign is between you and that contractor. We are not a party to it.
- We do not give estimates, bids, quotes or prices. Price information published on this website is general market information compiled from third-party sources, not a quote.
- We are not affiliated with any government agency, insurance company or roofing manufacturer.
- We do not help with insurance claims and we do not act as a public adjuster.
3. The price you name is a request, not a deal
When you tell us a price, you are telling us what you would like to pay. You are not making an offer that anyone has to accept, and no one is agreeing to it.
We do not promise, guarantee or represent that:
- Any contractor will do your roof for the price you name, or for any price
- Any contractor will contact you at all
- Any contractor will come to your property or give you a bid
- The price you name is realistic, reasonable or achievable for your roof
- You will save money
The real price of a roof depends on things we know nothing about: the size, pitch and shape of your roof, how many layers are on it, the condition of the deck underneath, the materials you pick, permits, access, and what materials and labor cost that week. A real price can only come from a contractor who looks at your actual roof.
Naming a low price does not make a roof cost that much. If your number is far below what the work actually costs, contractors will tell you no, or will offer you a different price. That is normal and expected.
4. We are not responsible for the contractors
We do not control what contractors do. We are not responsible for:
- The quality, safety or timeliness of any work
- Whether a contractor is licensed, registered, bonded or insured
- Whether a contractor honors a warranty or a price
- Anything a contractor says, promises, writes or advertises to you
- How often, or in what way, a contractor contacts you
- Damage to your property, injuries, delays or money you lose
- Any dispute between you and a contractor
Before you hire anyone, please:
- Get at least three written bids
- Ask for proof of general liability insurance and workers' compensation — and call the insurer to verify it is active
- Check whether your city requires contractor registration, and confirm the contractor has it. Neither Ohio nor Kentucky licenses roofing contractors at the state level.
- Check the contractor with the Ohio Attorney General, the Kentucky Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau
- Never pay in full up front, and be careful about large deposits
- Get the full scope in writing before work starts, including the per-sheet rate for replacing rotted decking
- Know that under Ohio's Home Solicitation Sales Act, if a contractor sells to you at your home you usually have three business days to cancel in writing, and the contractor must give you a written cancellation notice
- Be careful with anyone who offers to waive, absorb or cover your insurance deductible — this can be insurance fraud and can cost you your claim
5. No warranties
THIS WEBSITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THIS WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION ON IT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
Some states do not allow some of these disclaimers. If your state does not, this section applies to you only as far as your state allows.
6. Limits on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost business, even if we were told those damages were possible. Our total liability to you for any and all claims will not be more than $100.
Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or violations of consumer protection statutes. Nothing here waives any right you have under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, or any other consumer protection law.
7. If you cause a problem
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from:
- Information you give us that is false, or that belongs to someone else
- Submitting a phone number that is not yours, or that you are not allowed to give consent for
- Your use of this website
- Your violation of these Terms or of any law
- Any dispute between you and a contractor
8. How you may use this website
Do not: submit false information; submit anyone else's contact information without their permission; scrape, crawl or harvest content or data; use bots or automated submission tools; attempt to gain unauthorized access; interfere with the site's operation; or use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may refuse service, remove submissions, or block access at any time.
9. Our content
The text, design, data compilations, calculators and other content on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may read it, print it and share links to it. You may not republish substantial portions of it commercially without written permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for what is on them.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio, and you and we agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing anything, please contact us at legal@namearoofprice.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General, the Kentucky Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission, or from bringing a claim in small claims court.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will post a clear notice on the website at least 30 days before it takes effect. Changes are not retroactive: the version in effect when you submitted your information governs that submission.
12. Other terms
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a term, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about this website.
